Hey guys i'm starting to plan what i want to after i finnish my final exams for the HSC.
Next year i am planning on doing a diploma of Beauty Therapy and i was wondering if i could start working in a Beauty Salon before hand to gain some experience and receive a genuine feel for the industry?
What would i be able to apply for without qualifications?
i will have my Higher school certificate by then...
could i be a receptionist?

so i really want to have a new look before school starts.. im going to be a sophomore...
i wanna dye my hair a natural brown.. but heres the thing... i have reallllly strict and traditional asian parents... they dont let me date, wear a lot of make up, or even let me spend money to buy things i want...
but, of course, im an americanized asian, so i do wear make up, striaghten my hair, wear short-shorts and tanktops, and im currently dating... (everything my parents are against, i pretty much do in secret... but i still have to respect them.... cuz they are STRICT)
(i could go days bitching about my parents.. lol)
anyways, how do i ask my parents if i could receive my hair dyed at a salon when they still baby me?
i dont want to use the term "everyone else is doing it" cuz they're just going to ask why do u want to be like everyone else... also, my dad is against the whole beauty thing.. so if i say beacuse i want a new look, he'll never accept it.... also, i cant say "i'll pay for it myself" because they'll say "money isnt the issue"

So I have decided to start my possess bair bow company called The Beautiful Hair Bow Co. Do you think that is a cute name? I will sell the bows in a local beauty salon. every of my bows are made out of fabric or ribbons, there is about ten different styles and they are very cute. Hi Im a 15 year old girl in Britain and I want to do beauty therapy next year in college but every my friends keep saying that it is a bad choice and that they hardly receive paid anything.
My pal said that beauty therapy is for people who can't receive high grades.

I have naturally brown hair and have been going to a salon to receive it highlighted. Sometimes, even when I just receive it done, my roots look bad from outgrowth when I tug it up. I want to do something at home where I can color it every the same color, so the roots are good too. What's the best bright blonde hair color that wont damage my hair? Im currently a university student studying Commerce. Its my first year, I am enjoying it and everything and I am planning to stick with it and graduate with this degree. I am from an educated family, so I am expected to complete a degree and work in a respective field.
Now, I don't discriminate towards people who don't go to university or anything, but yes my family does.
Ok so the problem is, after I graduate I want to receive a diploma in hairdressing and another diploma in beauty therapy because its what I really want to do. I want to do this while i work (in the commerce field), and eventually receive an apprenticeship and then eventually open a hair salon because i'll know plenty about business because of my degree.
Do you think I am weird for wanting to do this?
Do you think its even possible?

I dyed my hair bleach blonde yesterday afternoon and it didn't turn out right so I wanna fix it but my mom is takin me to the beauty salon today and my hair dressr said the stuff she's putting in it won't damage myy hair, she is either putting in "toner" or taking the color out but NOT with bleach, would either of those damage my hair?

I died my hair black months ago, went to a salon and they bleached it. It wound up turning a reddish color (brown and red) and my roots came out super red! I wanted a nice light brown color. How do I fix this problem? Do I have to add a green toner to it or something? I got my hair done at a beauty school and I'm going back to fix it, but I don't think they really know how. Could I fix this myself?

Okay, so my main goal in work life, is to possess my possess beauty salon. You can basically go straight into entrepreneurship after high school, but I would like to go to college to have the "college" experience and further my education as well. What I am asking is, is Entreprenurship a Major in college? If not, what nice of classes or Majors could I take that would prepare for owning my possess buisness? For example, If Entruprenurship Major is not an option, would Buisness, or Accounting, or Marketing benefit me? My daughter Jaycee is 10 and is ment to be going to her cousins 12th birthday party next sunday. Its a beauty party and then they are having a photo shoot. Jaycee will be the youngest there as there every older than her and they are every going to a salon to have acrylic nails put on. Should i let her go or not? I am in desperate need of a glow in the dark child leash. My little boy is quite the pompous child and requires a leash. However, he keeps escaping into the forest and the glow in the dark leash would therefore provide me with much needed aid to find him again. It really gets in the way of my daily schedule running around in a forest with a dog whistle trying to find him time after time. okay i really need honest answers, not "noo youll kill your hair." and junk.
i dont care if my hair gets dry, i dont care if its bad for it. as long as it doesnt fall out, i dont care. and im 15, i dont have money or means to receive money to go to a salon to do this. the most i can afford to do is go to sallys beauty supply.

i bought this born blonde maxi stuff to put a streak of bleach blonde in my hair, and my hair was like blood red when i put it in and freshly dyed. i left the born blonde stuff in for like an hour to like an hour and 10 min ish, and it was sort of a light brassy blondeish orange after i rinsed it out and dried it, but keep in mind my hair was freshly henna-ed and dyed 10 min earlier, blow dried and then i put the born blonde in.
will the born blonde stuff work if i put it every over my hair, rinse it out and junk, put another box of the born blonde stuff in, rinse it out, and if its not light enough put like the lightest blonde box dye i can possibly receive? or will that just turn out orange?
do i really need to go receive legit bleach? cause i dont know where to receive that or how to do it.
someone just please tell me the most effective way to receive my sort of brownish red hair bleach blonde like in the pic?
noo it wasnt pure henna, it was like burgandy hair dye, its already faded to a reddish brown.

So, instead of getting just a trim and highlights at the salon, I got dirty blonde lowlights and clip my hair to shoulder length with some side bangs and choppy layers. I'll admit, it isn't my best look but I don't think it looks bad. The second she saw me she yelled "You look hideous" "she (hairdresser) took your beauty away" "every the cheerleaders (i'm one) have their hair every long to their t!ts" "you look like a 40 year old lawyer" "you look like hannah that ugly girl with the sensible clip" "you look like a goth tramp and not a pretty one" "your hair is hideous you should have gotten high lights" she's making me feel really bad and depressed. I keep praying to god to make her cease but it's not working :-(

My goal in the future is to either become a professional makeup artist and move to America or to open a chain of salon/cafes around Australia. I can't do a hairdressing course through University so I was thinking I'd go through TAFE, but now that I look at it I'm thinking of getting a bachelor in business and finance at Uni while doing a part time Hair and beauty course at a hair and beauty school. I think that if I have a Bachelor in B&F Then it's something I can fall back on, but I'm worried I'll chose the wrong thing and regret it.
Should I do the TAFE Hair, beauty and retail career training program which will give me a Certificate II in Hairdressing (duration, 6 months) or should I go to Uni, receive my degree (duration 3 years) and do a part time H&B course (duration 12 months)?
I live in South Australia and my University of choice is Flinders because I'd like to live on campus.

I'm 15 going on 16 next month and for the past 2 years I believe, I have been having mood swings like it isn't anyone's business. I have been suffering with depression for 3 years now and I don't know if that could have something to do with it. I know however that I am not bipolar. I don't like talking a lot nor do I like being around a lot of people or associating with a lot of people, I like staying to myself and I hardly ever talk.People say I am a nice person,that may be true but somedays, I just feel like"***K YOU! ***K EVERYBODY! ***K THE WORLD! -_- (Today i'm having one of those days :|)
I am an empath and I can feel other people's pain and I don't know if that may be it because today I was at the beauty salon every day and a lot of them were bitch* but in disguise or if I just am a bitchy type of person in disguise to. Why do you guys think I am bitchy a lot? Is it because i'm a teenager ?
oh and by mood swings, I mean stuff like I can be glad one minute and then a few hours later, I am deep in my depression.. I do however suffer from PMDD and it varies from month to month. On a bad month , I will be messed up in thoughts and in attitude for about two weeks before "it" comes on.I binge eat, I sometimes even feel hopeless and like I should die...

My natural hair color is dark brown and my hair is heavily dyed blonde.
I went to a beauty salon and they told me they cant lighten my eyebrows and that i would need to ask my hairdresser to do it but my hairdresser told me that using the type of hair dye i use on my hair is not suitable for eyebrows as if would irritate my skin.
People like Lady GaGa and Gwen Stefani have dark hair naturally but they obviously dye their eyebrows because their blonde now. How do they do it? Is their a special dye hairdressers can use or something? Or should i just leave them dark brown because everyone says my dark eyebrows look really chilly with my light hair and that Madonna always has dark eyebrows with light hair because its in fashion now but im not so sure.

Ok heres my little story, on July 10th I deep conditioned my hair [at the salon] for the first time and im 15. i know unhappy... dnt ask. my hair is damaged and unhealthy. On the top my hair it looks healthy but once in goes down to where my eyebrows are at and every the way down is looks damaged, like other hairs are sticking out of the hair. [each strand of hair has 3 layers, and if their healthy they are together in 1 piece, but mine arent, they are apart and u can tell] thts basically how it is.
Im going to keep deep conditioning, but i also straighten my hair and wanted to know whats the best working heat protectent and wht store to receive it at, [like sallys beauty]. I heard of so many different things like serum stuff?, stuff u culd use in the shower, and its nice of confusing. Whatever really works and makes your hair healthy, and looking good again and also how long it takes to notice a difference,[an estimate] is fine!

Ok so my pal works in a beauty salon and she has an assessment yesterday so she asked me if I could arrive to her salon and she could do my nails..
She put the fake nails on and coated them twice with thick layers of this gel that dried and feels like cement. I tried to take them off today and I ripped one off and it took the top layer off my nail.
It's really painful, so I soaked my nails in hot water for 20 mins and then tried soaking them in nail varnish remover but it wouldn't work!
How can I take them off without damaging my nails?

Ok, so for many years my grandma, mom and I every went to the Beaverton Beauty First Salon and Spa, and the manager, Mark, was our hair stylist, now the last time I saw him was about 6 or 7 years ago...I called there today to make an appointment with him to receive my hair done on the morning of my wedding and he's not there anymore and no one has a clue who he even was...it seems odd to me, and neither my mom, grandma or myself can recall his last name, so I am wondering if there is anyone else in the area who might know him...? Know if he retired,, or went to a new salon, or opened his possess...anything?

Me and my best pal both applied for a job at a beauty parlayr. It's quite a big one in London and ever since I was little it had been my dream to work there, and she knows that. She had contacts within the parlour (her dad is very close with the manager) and she got offered a place. She also had a choice between that job and another job, and chose the one I wanted. I therefore did not receive offered the position.
I can't help but feel bitter, and every time I walk past and look her working there I just start to well up with tears. Ever since I was a little girl I've looked over at the salon at the beautiful people walking in and out and wished to go there, whilst she really wasn't interested.
How can I receive over this? Do you think it was fair of her to take the job?

Some people told me that i would have too go too my eye doctor too receive contacts but i don't know if my eye doctor would sell colored contacts over the counter . And if my eye doctor don't sell it . Is it possible too receive colored contacts at the store like wal-mart, cvs, or at a beauty salon . I am a student and i moved to ottawa recently from windsor. There i used to do threading by a lady sitting at the centre space of Devonshire mall. They do it cheaply. I don't want any spas or other beauty salons because they charge a lot.
